Vanguard has expanded its range of low-cost global equity exchange-traded funds (ETFs) with three new funds, giving investors options for broad global, small-cap and non-US equity exposure.
The Vanguard FTSE Global All-Cap UCITS ETF invests in large-, mid- and small-cap companies across developed and emerging markets through a single fund with an ongoing charges figure (OCF) of 0.07%; the Vanguard FTSE Global Small-Cap UCITS ETF holds smaller companies globally and has an OCF of 0.22%.
The third launch, the Vanguard FTSE All-World ex-U.S. UCITS ETF, tracks developed and emerging markets outside the US. It has an OCF of 0.12% and could be used by investors who manage their US allocation separately.
All three ETFs are available in accumulating and distributing share classes and add to Vanguard’s existing FTSE All-World UCITS ETF, which invests in large- and mid-cap companies across developed and emerging markets. The firm recently reduced the fee on this ETF and has also launched US-focused Russell ETFs and European equity ETFs this year.
Jon Cleborne, head of Vanguard Europe, said investors wanted portfolios that were “simple to build, low-cost and flexible enough to meet different allocation needs”.
He added that the new funds gave investors greater choice over how they access global markets, from broad all-cap exposure and dedicated small-cap exposure to equities outside the US.
The ETFs will be managed by Vanguard’s Global Equity Group, which oversees more than $9.1trn in assets globally, according to the firm.
