Schroders has added to its suite of active ETFs with the launch of Schroder Europe Equity Active UCITS ETF and Schroder Japan Equity Active UCITS ETF, taking its total number of products to six.

The new funds will be actively managed with a skew towards finding high-quality companies that are currently mispriced in their respective regions.

They will use the same process as the firm’s pre-existing equity ETFs and are similar to the Schroder QEP Global Core strategy, which is managed by the Schroders' quantitative equity products (QEP) investment team. Both funds will be unhedged.

They will first list on the XETRA Deutsche Borse today, with follow-up listings on the London Stock Exchange, Borsa Italiana and SIX Swiss Exchange.

Schroders launched its first two active ETFs (one focused on global equities and another on investment grade corporate bonds) in September 2025 before adding a global equity fund and a US equity fund to the range earlier this year. The suite now has $3.7bn in assets under management.

Tom Stephens, head of ETFs at Schroders, said the new funds are a result of strong client demand for active ETFs.

“These ETFs will provide clients with greater choice in how they access Schroders’ active investment expertise by broadening our highly diversified regional equity offering,” he said.

“They also offer solutions with limited index relative risk, alongside the potential for incremental alpha generation across market environments.”
