Fidelity International has launched an active ETF range designed to cushion equity losses during market downturns while retaining growth potential, to help investors stay in the market throughout the cycle.
The Dynamic Buffer range launched with the new Fidelity Global Equity Dynamic Buffer UCITS ETF and the Fidelity US Equity Dynamic Buffer UCITS ETF. Both will have an ongoing charges figure of 0.5%.
Both combine Fidelity's Research Enhanced equity approach with a systematic downside buffer target. The targeted level of downside buffer adjusts gradually as markets move and is not guaranteed.
Fidelity also considers ESG factors when assessing investment risks and opportunities for the range.
Fidelity Global Equity Dynamic Buffer UCITS ETF and Fidelity US Equity Dynamic Buffer UCITS ETF listed on Borsa Italiana and Xetra today (21 October 2026). Further listings follow on the London Stock Exchange on 22 October 2026 and the SIX Swiss Exchange on 26 October 2026.
Neil Davies, head of ETFs at Fidelity International, said: "Market corrections are a recurring feature of equity investing and can occur without warning. For investors, the challenge is how to navigate these periods without losing sight of their long-term investment objectives.
"Our Dynamic Buffer range has been designed with this in mind, combining Fidelity's research-driven equity approach with a systematic downside buffer target. It brings a new type of equity solution to our active ETF range, broadening the choice available to clients as we continue to grow our offering."
The launch follows Fidelity's Equity Enhanced Yield ETF range earlier this month and takes Fidelity's active ETF offering to 30 products.
